Lindsay Lohan still denies punching Florida fortune teller Tiffany Mitchell in a Chelsea nightclub early Thursday morning — but she now admits she did hit Mitchell with a nasty slur.
Lohan has been telling friends she called Mitchell, 28, a “gypsy” after she noticed Mitchell’s friends crowding around her expensive Celine purse at a table in the exclusive hotspot Avenue, TMZ.com reports.
After the troubled starlet retrieved the handbag and returned to her own table, members of her entourage told her Mitchell’s friends had pilfered her purse.
That’s when Lohan flew off the handle and called the psychic a “gypsy” — but she still insists she didn’t punch the blond beauty.
Mitchell has hired publicity-hound lawyer Gloria Allred to represent her in the legal battle that’s sure to follow the alleged fracas at 3:45 a.m. Thursday. Their psycho connection is said to have occurred when Lohan allegedly landed a vicious sucker punch on Mitchell’s face.

Former Palm Beach Psychic Tiffany "Ava" Mitchell, 28, claims she was attacked by Lindsay Lohan in a nightclub.

The actress was arrested on a misdemeanor assault charge and is due in court for the case on Jan. 7. She also is due to be arraigned in California on Dec. 12 on charges of lying to police after she crashed her Porsche.
Lohan’s father, Michael Lohan, called Mitchell a “lying phony” who fabricated the assault for — what else — publicity.

Lohan has apparently done some hiring of her own — TMZ.com says she has a private investigator rummaging through Mitchell’s past.
The actress was charged with misdemeanor assault and has a Jan. 7 court date. She also is due in court in California on Dec. 12 for allegedly lying to cops after crashing her Porsche.
